The Senior Policy and Project Officer supports the Podiatry Board with a key focus on the policy and projects relating to the Board's response to the recommendations from the independent review of the regulation of podiatric surgeons to ensure that the deliverables are met.

Undertake research regarding relevant policy, project, and professional matters
Proactively consult with relevant internal and external stakeholders to obtain relevant contemporary information to inform policy and project development and / or to gain an indication of the likely impact of proposed policies, standards, or guidelines
Develop and maintain trusted relationships with the National Board, relevant committee members, and internal and external stakeholders
Provide support to the Executive Officer and relevant Board Committees.
As the ideal candidate, you will demonstrate the following:
Degree in regulation, project management or equivalent and/or relevant experience
Expertise in the delivery of secretariat functions including secretariat and governance aspects, preferably within a complex regulatory environment

High level experience in interpreting and applying legislative, policy and procedural requirements as they relate to a regulatory environment
High level conceptual, analytical and written communication skills
High level project and time management, planning and organizational skills
