The purpose of the Child Safety and Wellbeing Service is to support the Department to create a child safe culture, implement strategies and take action to promote child safety and wellbeing.
The Senior Policy and Project Officer is expected to:
Contribute to, and support, the development of high level strategy policy analysis, including providing specialist advice on strategic policy issues. Plan, coordinate and deliver a range of approved projects and strategic initiatives relating to safeguarding children and young people across the Department of Health, where appropriate, and support and assist in the delivery of CSW Service priorities. About you We are seeking applicants who are united by our shared purpose and model our CARE values through interactions with others, are motivated to undertake work focused on the empowerment and wellbeing of children, with a keen ability to collaborate, problem solve and provide high level policy and other written documentation. It is crucial that you have a high level of personal resilience, with awareness of the principles of child safeguarding and trauma informed principles.
Contribute to a motivated and passionate team focused on children at the centre of health care service delivery. Contribute to broad systemic change through engagement with children and young people, development and implementation of policy and strategic projects and undertaking complex risk analysis to improve service delivery. Details of Appointment Permanent full-time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Fixed term full-time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of three years.
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
Salary: $104,756 - $118,730 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022 Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
