Safety first: your ride home from company sponsored events and your flu jab is on us Overview The Senior Policy Advisor (Sustainable Wagering) will play a pivotal role at Dabble in shaping and driving the company's Sustainable Wagering Program, ensuring that it aligns with industry-leading practices and regulatory requirements. Reporting directly to the Head of Compliance, this role will be at the forefront of Dabble's commitment to deliver responsible gambling initiatives leading to sustainable wagering outcomes.
This role will leverage their academic background and research expertise to establish evidence-based frameworks and contribute to the development of innovative tools and strategies that instill trust, enhance customer safety and sustainable gambling outcomes. In an increasingly complex and regulated market, the Senior Policy Advisor will be instrumental in upholding Dabble's reputation with its customers, and communities in which we operate.
Primary Location This role is currently open to all locations within Australia, however candidates based in Brisbane or Melbourne may be preferred.
Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of Dabble's Sustainable Wagering Program, ensuring it remains aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct and oversee research projects focused on safer gambling practices, particularly in relation to online users and younger demographics. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for sustainable gambling, providing regular reports to executive management. Collaborate with academic institutions, external researchers, and industry experts to advance Dabble's understanding of safer gambling behaviours and tools. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, to ensure compliance with national and international safer gambling standards. Support the integration of safer gambling tools across Dabble's product offerings, working closely with the Product, Tech, and Marketing teams. Provide expert advice on emerging trends and best practices concerning safer gambling to guide Dabble's strategic direction. Educate and train relevant stakeholders on best practice process and/or policy changes. Ensure the regular review and continuous improvement of the Sustainable Wagering Framework, adapting to changes in the regulatory landscape and business needs. Lead initiatives to introduce new tools and functionalities that promote safer gambling, particularly in preparation for entering new markets such as the UK, US, and Canada. Skills & Qualifications A degree in a relevant field such as Public Policy, Sociology, Psychology, or a related discipline, with a strong emphasis on research methodologies. A minimum of five years' experience in a policy advisory role, ideally within the gambling or digital entertainment industries. Extensive knowledge of sustainable gambling practices, responsible gambling frameworks, and regulatory environments, particularly in Australia, the UK, and the US. Demonstrated ability to design, conduct, and interpret research studies, with a focus on customer safety and behaviour analysis. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate research findings into practical recommendations for policy and product development. Excellent verbal/written communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience in collaborating with academics, regulators, and industry experts. Ability to work in a fast-paced scale-up environment. Consistently embody and uphold Dabble's core values in all actions and decisions. Outcome-focused, self-motivated, flexible and enthusiastic. Remuneration The advertised salary for this position is $120,000 - $140,000+ Super + Benefits with room to be flexible.
