Remote role 15 hours Per Week Research/review/analyse/write policy to support Advocacy. Allied Health Peak Body  This is an exciting and newly created role that will be pivotal in helping shape policies and strategies that will enable this growing allied health peak body advocate to better engage with government and funding bodies. As Senior Policy Advisor you will work closely with their dynamic CEO and bring your deep understanding of the allied health landscape, including current trends, challenges, and opportunities. Responsibilities will include:
Policy Research and Development - research/analysis of government policies, legislation, and impactful regulatory changes, to help focus strategy and planning. Provide evidence-based guidance to leadership, prepare policy papers, briefing and correspondence. Advocacy and Stakeholder Engagement - seek member insights, collaborate with government agencies, professional associations, and other stakeholders to gain insights, build consensus, and promote policy initiatives across Aged Care, Disability, mental health regulatory reform and private health insurers. Represent peak body with policy makers and other stakeholders to advocate. Project Management - support CEO managing the delivery of key policy and advocacy projects. To be successful in this role you will need a deep understanding of the allied health and regulatory landscape. Tertiary qualifications (Master's degree in public health, health policy, social sciences, mental health) or similar related field will be essential. Considerable experience in policy research, analysis and development ideally within allied or mental health together with experience writing policy papers or securing funding for health initiatives is preferred. Exceptional analytical skills able to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable policy recommendations will be your superpower. Tech savvy, you will possess a high degree of competence across multiple systems including any AI assisted programs and analysis tools.

This role will work from home with complete flexibility around days/times. This is an initial 12-month contract role with view to possible extension beyond that period. There may also be scope for future ongoing opportunities within this vibrant allied health association. Salary is commensurate with experience
