The Senior Policy Advisor will develop high quality, proactive and timely policy advice to build Victoria's circular economy. The Senior Policy Advisor will provide expert, authoritative and timely policy advice to the Minister, the Department's executive, and other government departments.
The Senior Policy Officer will provide policy expertise and leadership on waste service disruptions in the context of emergency management. This includes managing a work program and deliverables for complex policy projects and leading consultation across government and with stakeholders to inform expert, authoritative, and timely policy advice to the Minister and the Department's executive.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications Experience in undertaking complex policy analysis and providing high level policy advice is desirable. High level knowledge, skills, and experience with policy analysis and advice is desirable. Experience undertaking engagement with stakeholders across government, industry, and the community on complex policy issues is desirable. A well-developed understanding of Victorian Government policy processes. Experience with the waste and recycling, environment, or emergency management sectors is desirable. Tertiary qualification(s) in a relevant field are desirable. This is a fixed term position available for a period of 12 Months. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
