Do work that matters: The role of Senior Platform Engineers is to Design, Build, Run & Evolve tools, infrastructure, templates and capabilities that our other engineers use to deliver business value, and to write code that automates running our infrastructure and environments. Collaboratively work with customer-facing product engineers to design, build and run 'platforms' that they can use to deliver customer value at greater quality, velocity, and safety. Manage and orchestrate workloads in AWS infrastructure (EC2, ECS, Lambda, Step functions, RDS) to ensure they are reliable, secure, and scalable. Maintain observability solutions using monitoring, alerting, and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Otel collectors. Systematic problem-solving approach to resolve complex production issues, conduct root cause analysis, post-mortems, and implement long-term solutions. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership to the team. We're interested in hearing from people who: Are familiar with modern software development practices using tools such as git for source control, and CI/CD tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins, or Octopus Deploy. Have deep experience in Design, Develop, Deploy, and Run high-quality applications and systems. Are passionate about managing and scaling distributed systems in a public, private, or hybrid environment. Identify technology limitations in existing systems and associated processes, using software engineering to develop scalable and sustainable improvements.Have a natural drive to educate, communicate, and positively influence various stakeholder groups, including high-level executives. Tech Skills: We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all, but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team: Solid experience as a Platform/DevOps/SRE Engineer in an AWS Cloud environment. Hands-on experience with container technology: Docker and Kubernetes/EKS. Strong scripting and programming skills like Python, Go, or Bash. Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools like CloudFormation. Strong experience working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus, GitHub Actions, or similar. In-depth knowledge of SRE principles and best practices: defining CUJs, tracking SLOs, and SLIs.
