Boral are seeking an experienced Senior Plant Attendant to join our Cement team based in the Berrima plant. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the main responsibilities of the role will be the routine testing of cement, lime and associated raw materials.
To be successful in this role it is critical to demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement, attention to detail and a willingness to undertake training in production processes relevant to the role.
Your day will involve: Management of incoming and outgoing samplesTesting of cement, lime and associated raw materials for chemical, physical and performance parameters including:Particle Size Analysis (Fineness Index, Sieving)Chemical Analysis (XRF)Compressive StrengthSetting TimesAvailable Lime IndexSlakingRecording, interpreting and verifying own resultsUse of the computer based Laboratory Data Management SystemMaintenance of laboratory equipment, including checks and calibrationsWhat we are looking for: Commitment to Zero Harm to people, plant and equipmentSelf-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised in a very routine environmentStrong attention to detailWillingness to learn and contribute to the teamAbility to follow standard test methods and work within NATA accreditation and QA guidelinesAbility to accurately log data and maintain recordsHave solid mathematical and computing skillsPrevious experience in a construction materials laboratory and/or a Certificate III in Laboratory Skills will be highly regardedWhat's on offer?
