Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be a person with lived experience of mental ill-health, service use and recovery (identifies as a mental health consumer).The purpose of the brand-new purpose-built facility will be to provide a dedicated space for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis and access to a multidisciplinary team, inclusive of the lived experience workforce. Through this initiative, Metro North Mental Health strives to improve the experience of crisis care by connecting people to the right care at the right place and time.
