The Opportunity
Join our dynamic payroll team as we seek a driven Senior Payroll Officer for our Western Australian operations. You'll assist with the entire payroll processing cycle, ensuring precision and punctuality in all calculations while upholding strict compliance with industrial, local, state, and national laws. Resolving intricate payroll matters and supporting the payroll team will be central to your role. Collaboration with HR, finance, and IT teams will be essential to seamlessly integrate payroll operations and deliver precise reporting.
What You'll Do Manage and execute the payroll cycle, including data entry, calculations, and processing of payroll for all employees. Ensure accuracy in salary calculations, termination calculations (including redundancy), allowances, deductions, and statutory withholdings. Validate and reconcile payroll reports and other payroll-related payments. Process off-cycle payments, adjustments, and corrections as necessary. Provide guidance, training, and support to all payroll team members. Assist the payroll team, ensuring deadlines are met and accuracy is maintained. Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements. Ensure the payroll system is properly configured, maintained, and optimised to support accurate and efficient payroll processing. Collaborate with the IT team to troubleshoot system issues and implement system upgrades or enhancements. What You'll Bring

Proven expertise in end-to-end payroll processing, ideally in a senior or analyst capacity. Thorough understanding of payroll regulations, employment tax laws, and statutory requirements. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in payroll software Chris21 and Microsoft Office applications.
