The Senior Partnerships Manager will be responsible for a strategically important growth partnership in payments. Working collaboratively with partner representatives and with stakeholders right across the ANZ Group, the successful candidate will manage a significant partnership investment portfolio in line with contractual obligations and in the mutual interests of the partnership. The candidate will champion sound investment decisions, track utilisation and optimise outcomes to engage and grow in payments.
The role is dynamic, fast-paced and multi-faceted, with a strong focus on collaboration, strategic thinking and problem solving, by continuously balancing the interests of our customers, Partnerships, Business Units and ANZ as a whole.

What will your day look like?As a Senior Partnerships Manager you will be accountable for:
Managing and optimising partnership funding – leading the financial management, governance and optimisation of a substantial funding portfolio across the ANZ Group to support and grow in payments. Financial management includes maintaining an opportunity pipeline, tracking initiatives (funding, forecasts and benefits - including active problem solving to address unders and overs), planning, governance and risk management. The role must also have an eye for continuous improvement and optimisation, discovering opportunities to uplift productivity and utilisation to yield improved results for all parties. Initial focus areas will include re-setting the operating model (internal and external) and standardising process for portfolio oversight and decision-making.Strategic partner management - representing and promoting the partnership across the ANZ Group at all levels, tracking OKRs and supporting an efficient time to decision on new partnership opportunities. The role must identify and champion areas of mutual value, working with pace to align stakeholders and enable the execution and delivery of partnership value.Supporting the development of financial and commercialisation capabilities for the Strategic Partnerships team – including the development of tools and models to assess and value partnership opportunities (direct and indirect benefits).Leading, empowering and developing team members – managing a team of 1-2 FTE, together with an expansive span of influence across the ANZ Group and externally (including product teams, Finance, Tech/Digital, Legal, Risk and more). Also contributing to the culture of Strategic Partnerships to make it an even better place to work.What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Experience in Finance or PMO related rolesAbility to manage stakeholder relationships and conflicts with the capability to engage when things get difficult and collaborate/mediate to effectively resolve conflictProven analytical skills and data-driven decision makingDeveloped mechanisms to build commercial models, track performance, value realisation on investment and post-implementation reviewAn aptitude for complex problem solving with an ability to use critical thinking, relationships and mastery to unlock creative solutions to deliver mutual valueAbility to quickly gather information on a program of work and communicate to stakeholders at all levelsAbility to work strategically and with ambiguityStrong interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skillsPassion for professional development, including opportunities to improve performance and energising peopleYou're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
