In this pivotal role, you will oversee driver safety and fleet maintenance ensuring the highest levels of safety, service, efficiency, and compliance.
You will manage a diverse team, drive operational performance, and collaborate with senior leadership to achieve strategic business outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesSafety and Compliance: Monitor driver safety, address any concerns promptly, and ensure adherence to WHS standards and NHVR compliance.Fleet Compliance: Oversee vehicle maintenance, ensuring all legal and safety requirements are met.Customer Service Excellence: Ensure the team consistently delivers exceptional customer service, meeting or exceeding client expectations.Strategic Support: Collaborate with senior leadership to implement business strategies and drive commercial outcomes.Customer Service Collaboration: Assist Customer Service teams in meeting DIFOT (Delivery in Full, On Time) and service goals.Fleet Management & Utilisation: Monitor fleet performance and utilisation metrics to ensure operational efficiency.Customer Relationship Management: Manage relationships with key customers, both internal and external.Operational Leadership: Lead teams across various functions such as on-road operations, dispatch, service assurance, transport scheduling, and fleet management.Resource Planning: Schedule resources efficiently to meet departmental priorities and deadlines.Team Development: Recruit, develop, and motivate team members to achieve both individual and team goals.Continuous Improvement: Regularly review processes and implement improvements to enhance team effectiveness and operational efficiency.To succeed in this role, we anticipate you will be able to demonstrate:Proven experience in operations management, fleet management, or a similar role within a transport or logistics environment.Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and regulatory standards (WHS, NHVR).Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.Strong customer service orientation with the ability to manage key customer relationships effectively.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.Experience with fleet management systems.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both with internal teams and external stakeholders.We offerEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Flare discounts and benefits platformStaff and family accommodation rates (subject to availability)Candidates acknowledge and consent to undergoing pre-employment criminal and medical checks as part of the recruitment process.No recruitment agencies.Your application will include the following questions:Have you worked in a role which requires a sound understanding of OH&S / WHS?Do you have experience working with logistics, freight & delivery services?Are you willing to undergo a pre-employment medical check?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as an operations supervisor?
