This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Education Futures Institute as a Senior Officer in the Queensland Department of Education. The Education Futures Institute is a key system initiative in the department's education strategy, Equity and Excellence: Realising the potential of every student, to empower departmental staff, educators, school and system leaders to build professional expertise through high quality, targeted capability development across their career. This position is offered on a temporary full-time basis until 30 June 2025 unless otherwise determined.

About the role: The Senior Officer - Corporate Services will be responsible for:
Supporting finance activities across the branch including but not limited to: Budget profiling support Purchase orders and payment of invoices as required Financial reporting, salaries, reconciliations, general journals Ensuring adherence to relevant legislation, directives, policies and procedures Contributing to the preparation of reports, submissions, briefing notes and corporate correspondence where relevant. The ideal applicant will: Have sound knowledge of relevant departmental policies and procedures, including using SAP and an understanding of budget profiling Have high-level written and oral communication skills and be able to engage with a wide range of internal and external high-level stakeholders Be able to work in a fast-paced high-volume environment, bring high level skills in problem solving, prioritisation and managing competing demands in a timely manner Enjoy working and collaborating with a diverse team to deliver outcomes and make a positive impact in education Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.
