It's time to take charge and become part of a team where you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the Network Safety team's priorities as defined by the Network Safety Manager.
As the Senior Network Safety Lead, you will make a significant impact as the point of escalation while delivering on network safety activities as well as tactical asset management for AusNet.
You will play a fundamental part in the network safety risk management compliance.
With 3 days in the office, 2 days' work from home, this role is based in Southbank, Victoria and is part of the Asset Management team.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:
Deliver work activities to develop, improve, monitor and implement policies and strategies to meet regulatory Safety and Risk Obligations. Develop a strong working relationship with the ESV, providing the key technical interface with ESV ensuring compliance with Electricity Safety Management Regulations, Electricity Safety Bushfire Mitigations Regulation, Electricity Safety Management Schemes (ESMS) and associated submissions. Take ownership of process improvements initiatives, specification and standard improvements and develop new methods of practice. Attend audits and respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders. Lead update of relevant Network Safety documents (e.g. Safety Management Schemes). Support the monitoring & Management of BFMI (Bush Fire Mitigation Index). Internal Compliance reporting. Assist the risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize the impact of potential risks on asset performance and reliability. Ensure AusNet's compliance with regulatory frameworks. You don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:
Engineering degree and Post Graduate qualifications in Engineering, Environmental Risk Mitigation or equivalent is preferred. Demonstrated, high level of experience in engineering in the Utilities industry. Extensive background in risk mitigation and asset management mandatory. Stakeholder management experience, prior dealings with regulators is desirable. Safety matters understanding on Distribution and/or Transmission assets. Proven understanding of the technical and economic regulations governing electrical networks. Legal background highly desirable. A real place to belong.
