Senior Network Engineer

Senior Network Engineer Hybrid working in Sydney Start ASAPOur client is a globally recognised specialist engineering consultancy with a significant presence in Australia. They are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join their IT Operations team.Your Role:Manage and maintain all aspects of network operations.Work on complex assignments with significant impact.Identify opportunities for improvements in people, processes, and technology.Lead and guide team members in developing methods and solving issues.Monitor and maintain day-to-day activities to meet service levels.Perform routine and health maintenance, upgrades, and performance-related activities.Identify and correct faults in services and infrastructure.Plan and execute minor infrastructure changes and business continuity tests.Oversee and support service supplier and manufacturer activities.Proactively resolve issues before they affect service performance.Engage in problem management and support audit and compliance activities.Provide on-call support and extended working hours as needed. About You:Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.6+ years of relevant experience in network operations.In-depth knowledge of network services and infrastructure.Experience in large/global enterprise IT environments.Familiarity with ITIL-aligned Service Management.Practical experience with multi-vendor networks, including WAN, LAN, Perimeter Security, SSE, Load Balancing, Cloud Networking, and Remote Access VPN.Experience with technologies such as Software-Defined-WAN, Cloud Networking, Cloud-based Internet Security, Unified Communications, Remote Access Solutions, LAN switching, wireless LAN, Next Generation Perimeter firewalls, Application Delivery Controllers, and Identity and Access Control platforms.
