Senior Network Engineer

12 months CONTRACT with potential extensions
Hybrid working arrangement (3 days a week on-site in Perth CBD)
Daily rate: $950 - $1000 (inc. Super)
ROLE OVERVIEW We are seeking a skilled Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of our network and security infrastructure. The role requires expertise in both new and existing network hardware and services, including Cisco datacentre equipment, load balancing, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Design and provide consultancy for new and existing network hardware, including Cisco routing hardware, firewalls, wireless, and load-balancing infrastructure.Configure network and security systems, including Cisco hardware, firewalls, and various security applications.Offer ad-hoc technical advice, handle incident response, and address security anomalies.Manage the implementation of network and security solutions across operations.Ensure systems are patched, upgraded, and aligned with security standards.MORE ABOUT YOU Experience in SCADA and rail infrastructure.Enterprise-level experience.Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst/Nexus switches, Cisco routers, wireless infrastructure, Checkpoint firewalls, and F5 load balancers.Knowledge of network operating systems (Windows, Linux) and services (DNS, DHCP, IP address management).Proficiency in IP WAN, BGP, and CCNP Route Switch.Experience with Nexus platforms and medium-to-large network design.Preferred skills in Cisco ISE, Cisco SDA, Cisco DNA, SDWAN, ACI, Checkpoint firewalls, DCI/OTV, and wireless expertise.If this opportunity aligns with your expertise and aspirations, please apply!
