Our Federal Government client is seeking a Senior Multi-Cloud Automation Engineer that will lead Automation Design and Engineering for Azure and AWS cloud environments.
This is a contract role that will run for 12 months with 2x12 months extension options based in Canberra ACT.
The Senior Multi-Cloud Automation Engineer will:Lead Automation Design and Engineering for Azure and AWS cloud environments.Build and manage reliable data pipelines through workflow management systems.Provide recommendations and insights on the design, implementation, operations, user guides, and training resources.Configure, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure for development, staging, and production applications.Define, create, and maintain processes needed to support production and development environments with the use of automation scripts, third-party utilities, or custom codes.Design and develop extensive scripts for automation and integration of Cloud provisioning for Azure and AWS workloads.Collaborate and contribute to the technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of all components in complex hardware/software systems.Review and provide insights for new and evolving design, architecture, standards, and methods for internal DevOps services and systems.Perform deep dive analysis into both systemic and network issues.Train engineering and operations staff.Resolve escalated, complex problems as a Tier 3 engineer.Mandatory CriteriaCapability of personnel to provide the servicesExperience providing similar servicesValid security clearance at required levelValue for moneyDemonstrated experience in delivering 'as a service' capabilities using AWS technologies.Demonstrated experience in delivering 'as a service' capabilities using Azure technologies.Demonstrated experience in securing Cloud Platform technologies to a IRAP PROTECTED level.Demonstrated experience in designing automation for implementing AWS solutions with native automation tools, one or more of the following: AWS PowerShell, AWS CLI, Cloud Formation, CDK.Demonstrated experience in designing automation for implementing Azure solutions with native automation tools, one or more of the following: Azure PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM Templates, Bicep.Demonstrated experience in Identity and Access Management in multi-account AWS environment with Service Control Policies.Demonstrated experience in integration of AWS Identity and Access Management and/or SSO to Entra ID.Demonstrated experience designing comparative and consistent automation solutions in a multi-cloud 'as a service' model.Ability to provide engineering guidance and leadership within one or more technology domains. Demonstrated experience in orchestration of AWS and Azure service deployment.Weighted CriteriaDetailed understanding of the current DFAT multi-cloud implementation.Knowledge and experience designing automation for implementing and troubleshooting secure networks in a multi-cloud environment, including: Hybrid Networking (Direct connect and ExpressRoute), Site-to-Site VPN, Native AWS and Azure Firewalls, Complex Cloud routing solutions.Experience and skills across a broad range of ICT systems and environments.Experience working with Agile development methodologies and scrum.Ability to deal with ambiguity and change. Strong coordination and organisational skills.High-level communications and documentation skills; and well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment, including over MS Teams.Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens who have the ability to obtain an AGSVA NV1 Clearance.
