As part of this, the Company's energy has focused on its Woodlawn Copper Zinc mine and Sulphur Springs Zinc-Copper mine whilst reviewing the newly acquired Pioneer Dome Lithium project.The second plank of DEVELOP's strategy centres on the provision of underground mining services. As part of this, DEVELOP has an agreement with Bellevue Gold (ASX: BGL) to provide underground mining services at its Bellevue Gold Project in WA.The Opportunity: Senior MetallurgistDEVELOP are currently seeking an experienced Senior Metallurgist to join our team as we prepare for ramp up and production restart in early 2025.Reporting to the Metallurgy Superintendent, the primary function of this role is to provide leadership and guidance to the Metallurgical and Processing teams and optimise processing plant performance.Develop's Woodlawn Copper-Zinc mine is located in the world-class Lachlan Fold belt in NSW, 250km south-west of Sydney.Woodlawn is an advanced stage mine with the first two years of underground production already developed and a near new processing plant and related infrastructure in place. Additional investment in the asset over the last two years has yielded a new, underground exclusive mine plan, backed by reserves for the next ten years.Your main responsibilities as a Senior Metallurgist will include:Provide metallurgical and processing operations leadership, showing an active presence in all areas of the operating processing plant to build strong working relationships.Develop and maintain constructive relationships with production and maintenance personnel to ensure a team-based approach to achieving all objectives.Seek and implement improvement opportunities.Conduct plant investigations and improvement projects to improve recovery, increase throughput, and reduce costs as required.Maintain the metallurgical accounting system, and generate daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly balances as required, in accordance with the company Metal Accounting Standard.Monitor plant performance, analyse operational/assay data, and set up systems that provide performance trends that can be used to identify opportunities.Assist in developing the budget physicals and cost targets for the annual budget.Work with the Control Systems Engineer to optimise, maintain, and improve the plant control systems.Develop a thorough understanding of the whole processing plant, comprising of (but not limited to) crushing, grinding, flotation, regrind, dewatering, reagents, metallurgical laboratory, tailings, water treatment, concentrate transport, and paste.Assist the Metallurgy Superintendent to design and complete metallurgical test work.Other duties as requested by the manager.The Requirements of the role:Degree majoring in Metallurgical Engineering / Extractive Metallurgy / Chemical Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution.Feasibility study experience.Minimum 4 years relevant experience in the base metals flotation industry.Demonstrate ability to maintain or exceed best industry practice in all metallurgical, geological, and environmental tasks.Computer literacy - Microsoft Office, with special emphasis on Excel and PI integration skills.Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.Awareness of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.Current "C" Class Drivers Licence.What Develop can offer:8:6 Roster or variantFull Time positionDIDO and FIFO options for the right candidateAttractive Remuneration PackageEmployee Share SchemePaid Parental Leave and Salary Sacrificing benefits including Superannuation and Novated LeasingAn exciting opportunity to be an integral part of a project that will develop your operational skills10-year mine life with plenty of opportunity for organic growthIf you would like to be a part of Develop's mission, we would love to hear from you.Shortlisting for this role will commence immediately, so please apply now.
