Details of the offer

To lead merchandising end-to-end as part of a product development & buying function. This includes the planning & management of inventory, through to trading & optimisation of products to meet consumer & business goals.
Responsibilities Core product planning & management via excel-based WSSIs to maximise sales & hit size availability and stock-turn targets Range building seasonally (2 - 4 key drops), in line with Buying, Design & Finance planning. Assortment planning Supplier & product production planning Open-to-Buy management Size ratio management & optimisation Weekly supplier Critical Path meetings. Managing changes and ensuring supply base has submitted relevant and up to date information to manage production and drive sales. Maintaining an inventory 'intake tracker', optimising 'permission to ship' in line with business needs. Leading Product 'Lessons Learnt, Planning & Strategy' with the product developers. Deliver department strategy in line with Managing Director direction. Deliver a clear range Architecture, i.e. Good, Better, Best Cross Departmental Strategic bridge: Marketing, Wholesale, International, Ecommerce, Finance/Merchandising & Logistics. To deliver/exceed the Company target of Gross Profit by ensuring collections are in line with Company margin targets. Weekly Trade reporting & presentation Trade optimisation via selling channels – i.e., website site merchandising Broader business development – supporting on strategic planning & implementation of new revenue streams (i.e., third-party retail & marketplaces). Experience Expertise to create & lead our merchandising function – i.e., you will be expected to design & build new processes (i.e., WSSIs, basket economics & site metrics forecasts etc) Fashion retail merchandising experience essential Experience leading a team with direct reports Commercial finance knowledge (i.e., experience owning a P+L) is an advantage Skills To be very analytical: identifies successes and failures, seeking opportunities to drive performance & mitigate issues Team player and willing to work cross functionally Excellent communication skills: presenting, pitching, representing the brand in various forums internally and externally. Strong excel and PowerPoint skills Possess the ability to drive the brand forward Motivated & hardworking – wants to be part of a growing brand, determined to change fashion apparel.
