South West Healthcare is seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Mental Health Clinician to join our Referral Services multidisciplinary team. In this Senior role, you will provide specialist mental health assessments, interventions, consultation, and liaison services to South West Healthcare's Warrnambool Emergency Department (ED). You will coordinate access to acute inpatient beds, including seeking out of area options when local beds are unavailable, while ensuring all actions align with the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022, including the necessary reporting and escalation processes.
As a suitably qualified clinician, you will provide urgent and intensive mental health assessments, treatment, and support, working closely with other Senior Mental Health Clinicians, the ED medical team, Ambulance Services, and Victoria Police to deliver specialist care for clients with co-occurring health needs.
