The Grampians Eating Disorder Service is a new innovative specialist multidisciplinary team providing integrated assessment, treatment, timely access to secondary consultation, comprehensive mental health assessment, early intervention and evidence-based treatment for individuals presenting with an eating disorder (across the life span).
Key Responsibilities The Eating Disorder Clinician – mental health will provide leadership in developing clinical expertise within the team through mentoring, teaching, supervising and organisation of case management as well as organisational responses to the daily functioning of the team.
The Eating Disorder Clinician - Mental Health provides & is responsible for Oversight and facilitation of bio-psycho-social clinical assessment Treatment for consumers and their families, that are evidence-based and/or best practice and that enhance the person's recovery from an eating disorder.
Provide advisory to clinicians and treating team across their GMHWS and to key stakeholders who are working with an individual with symptoms of an eating disorder.
Participate in the intake and oversight of evidenced-based treatment to individuals presenting or are at risk of a significant eating disorder, and their families.
Provide primary and secondary consultation to the broader service in relation to eating disturbance or disorder Qualifications Relevant professional qualification in a health-related discipline (psychology, nursing, social work or occupational therapy); current registration where applicable.
Relevant extensive experience, expert skill in, and ongoing commitment to the delivery of evidence- based and best practice, family-inclusive assessment and treatments of significant mental health disorders including Eating Disorders.
Demonstrated expertise in the application of knowledge in current evidence-based treatment practices and approaches to the treatment of Eating Disorders.
