Senior Mechanical Engineer In this role you'll be a vital part of our Industrial Mechanical team in Perth who are bringing ideas to life by imagining and co-creating with our clients to create a better future for people and the planet.Your role will include:Delivering technically excellent mechanical engineering designs and consultancy services and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver an exciting portfolio of materials handling and complex machines projects.Performing a senior engineer role on projects.Mentoring and facilitating the technical development of more junior resources.Assisting to drive business development, winning work, identifying the next opportunities and supporting the winning of these opportunities. Assist with bid preparation and submittals as required.Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.Driving and supporting a culture of safety and quality within the team.What are we looking for from you?You'll have a genuine passion for re-imagining problems and continuous learning to help shape the future.Previous consulting experience is essential.As well as experience in a similar role, you can demonstrate:Bachelor's degree or master's in mechanical engineering.Solid technical background and practical application experience in bulk materials handling, complex machine design in the resource sector.Design experience across at least some of the following areas:Car dumpersComplex machines including reclaimers, stackers & shiploadersBulk materials handling equipment including conveyors & transfer chutesDust suppression systemsWA resources sector with iron ore experienceSound knowledge and experience implementing relevant technical standards.Proficient with relevant mechanical design software (e.g. Helix, Belt Analyst, Inventor, ANSYS, Rocky)Developing business and commercial acumen. Familiar with goals and metrics that drive business, financial and project performance and manages own scope and time to optimise team performance and efficiency.The ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and to effectively collaborate with those around you. A growing knowledge across a range of disciplines.A desire to continually grow your own career and technical development by staying abreast of industry best practice design methods, software, technologies and by adopting digital delivery, and innovation.
