Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in Discrete Element Modelling (DEM) to join their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage engineering projects with a focus on DEM simulations to optimise material handling and processing systems.Analyse and model bulk material behaviour for a range of industrial applications, including mining and minerals processing.Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams to provide technical insights and design improvements based on DEM results.Develop, validate, and implement simulation models to enhance product and process performance.Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on DEM and related engineering tasks.About you Min 7 years experience in the mining sectorProficient with Rocky DEM software ideally or familiarUndertake site visits to liaise with Clients and develop scopes of workReview existing problematic transfers and develop solutionsInteract with other engineering disciplines, identifying inputs requiredExperience with typical mechanical handling systems and equipment (conveyors, transfer chutes, stackers, reclaimers, train load out)We believe in partnering with you to help build a satisfying and rewarding career.
