I am delighted and privileged to partner with the Royal National Agricultural Association of Queensland to recruit an energetic and accomplished marketer specialising in events & activations to join the amazing Brisbane team.
You will spearhead the development of marketing strategies for Ekka and competitions, leveraging consumer insights to enhance our events and foster greater engagement. Your focus will be on conducting market research to boost brand visibility, support product growth, and drive sales.
Ekka is a vibrant showcase of the very best of Queensland! With over 21,000 competition entries, ranging from exciting wood chop contests to impressive giant vegetables. Proudly hosting more than 10,000 animals, including beef cattle and beloved pets, along with world-class live entertainment, award-winning food and wine, carnival rides, and showbags.
You will also be involved in the Royal Queensland Awards, celebrating Australia's finest, as well as the favourite Grape Grazing event and Rural Discovery Day, bringing the essence of country life to the city.

Hold a tertiary qualification in marketing, with demonstrated experience in leadership and management. You will have experience leading and mentoring small teams. Bring your expertise in consumer insights to shape integrated strategies that boost engagement, enhance customer spending, and contribute to the success of our brands and products, ultimately driving sales and revenue growth. Utilise your experience in market research to assess brand positioning and develop strategic, research-driven plans that lead to clear, measurable outcomes. Advocate for the customer by ensuring their needs are prioritised throughout event planning, fostering strong brand loyalty through every interaction, guided by data-driven insights. Share your enthusiasm for delivering outstanding events across multiple disciplines, with a passion for creating memorable, world-class experiences. Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring collaboration and effective communication at all levels.
