Upwards of $150/160k + super + bonus RoleIn this broad role you will work closely with the risk leadership team and business heads to implement an industry leading Risk Management framework and an effective compliance program.
You will also:
Lead and manage a team of risk and compliance professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of the function. Develop and implement strategies to enhance risk and compliance capabilities within the organisation. Provide strategic insights and guidance to the business, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Contribute to maintaining the Risk Profile, including Compliance Obligations, and analyse and report on risk exposures. Ensure timely resolution of audit issues and fostering a risk-aware culture. Support Business continuity and operational resilience activities, updating documentation as required. Stay abreast of upcoming regulatory changes impacting the business (CPS230, FAR, BEAR etc) to enable ongoing compliance management. Overall, you will play a crucial role in driving effective risk management and promoting a proactive approach to risk within the organisation.
Skills and ExperienceThis is a senior leadership role so a blend of leadership and technical skills across Risk and Compliance will set you up for success, as well as the following:
Strong understanding of the Australian regulatory landscape (i.e.
APRA, ASIC) Proven experience in a senior risk or compliance role within the banking, financial services, or professional services sectors. Experience in leading and developing teams, fostering a high-performance culture. Strategic mindset with the ability to provide valuable insights and guidance to the business. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to work up to board and committee level. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-performance environment. Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of driving change in a complex business.
