Job Description About the role The Compliance team is responsible for overseeing and managing regulatory and compliance risks across the various jurisdictions QIC operates. We have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Manager, Privacy Compliance to join the Compliance team within the Risk Management Group. In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for providing oversight of QIC's data privacy practices in the jurisdictions in which it operates (Australia, USA, UK, EU and Singapore) to ensure QIC complies with all relevant data privacy laws, regulations and policies.
Key responsibilities will include: Managing and leading QIC's Privacy Compliance function, developing and enhancing frameworks, programs, controls, and systems to enable QIC to meet its data privacy obligations in Australia, the US, UK, EU and Singapore.Providing proactive and trusted advice to internal stakeholders across our Australian and international offices to ensure regulatory and compliance-related risks are well understood and managed.Identifying and integrating privacy risk considerations into QIC's business decision-making practices.Liaising with QIC's privacy regulators and domestic and foreign legal counsel with respect to data privacy issues.Developing effective data analytics and reporting and providing training and advice to the business.About you It goes without saying, you will be an experienced professional with strong knowledge of international privacy laws, regulations and industry best practices. You will ideally meet the following criteria:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, analyse and proactively resolve problems that impact QIC's risk and compliance obligations.Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with excellent attention to detail.Experience in developing and implementing compliance programs, policies, and procedures.Ability to translate technical legal and regulatory requirements into efficient and easily understood business processes.Strong training, verbal and written communication skills.Tertiary qualification in Law, Finance, Commerce or equivalent.If you thrive in a proactive, risk-based environment and can balance multiple competing priorities, we want to hear from you.
