We are looking for driven and talented individuals to join the Retail Banking Services (RBS) Lending Line 1 Risk Centre of Excellence (COE). You will be part of a high-performing team supporting our business with empowering our customers to achieve their goals and dreams in managing their cash flows, facilitating seamless and safe purchases, and home ownership.

As a Senior Manager, you will be a confident and trusted risk partner for Transformation Projects in the Lending Business. You will be working in collaboration with Lending Crews and Squads, and the broader Line 1 and Line 2 Risk and Compliance community in the design and implementation of effective and simplified processes that ensures obligations and inherent operational risk is minimized at source, and safe delivery of platform and process changes. You will also ensure Line 1 Risk deliverables as required by the Change Management Risk Standards are consistently delivered with high quality.

On any given day, you will: Partner with Transformation Project stakeholders to be the key point of contact for all risk and compliance questions, activities and deliverables. Provide advice to define and refine the end-state process design, with focus on prevention and automation to ensure better risk and compliance outcomes. Provide insights on key gaps and/or weaknesses in the current risk and control environment to ensure these are addressed and considered in the process design. Lead workshops and engagements with project, product, and risk and compliance stakeholders to ensure key changes undergo a comprehensive risk assessment and robust review and challenge. Oversee the effective design of key controls and compliance arrangements. Monitor completion of key control actions and exposure actions and pre-conditions prior to project completion. Document change impact to risk and compliance framework elements. Actively engage with OCM, impacted stakeholders including control owners and other Line 1 Risk teams plus Line 2 Risk and Compliance. Work with broader Lending Line Risk COE team on framework, people or culture initiatives, as required. We're interested in hearing from people who have: Understanding and working experience in operational and compliance risks within financial services. Strong reasoning and influencing skills to work with senior stakeholders. Knowledge of Home Buying or Consumer Finance products (or equivalent), processes and systems is highly desirable. Working knowledge and exposure of Risk in Change or Risk Transformation and/or experience in performing process and control reviews to identify what can go wrong, control gaps/weaknesses or simplification and optimisation opportunities. Ability to independently deliver for large projects and initiatives in a fast-paced, shifting environment. Ability to analyse trends, identify critical threats and opportunities, diagnose problems and issues, and recommend appropriate actions. Well-developed written communication skills and ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively.
