Your New Role:
Reporting to the Head of Investment Platforms, the Senior Manager - Investment Operations Platforms is a key leadership role within Technology Services and Investment Platforms. The role partners closely with the Investment Operations and ICOR (Investment, Compliance and Operational Risk) Departments to meet their technology needs through the implementation of industry-leading global investments technology solutions. The role will work closely with the global offices to ensure that the technology solutions delivered are globally fit for purpose and operationalised accordingly.
The role is supported by a dedicated team of technology experts to design, develop, test and release Investments technology solutions. The role includes people leadership responsibilities for the majority of the dedicated delivery team members and leads the ongoing demand and capacity planning, schedule, risk and issues management, financial management, and other aspects of portfolio and delivery management.
Key duties include but are not limited to: Lead and manage the Investment Operations Platforms delivery team to deliver technology solutions for the Investment Operations and ICOR departments.Lead and facilitate the capture of new demand into Investment Operations Platforms technology pipeline and appropriately manage the team's capacity to service this demand.Provide leadership and guidance on delivery approach to the Investment Operations Platforms team.Facilitate technology cost and timeframe estimates for input to project proposals and business cases.Motivate and inspire the team and suppliers by demonstrating commitment to the Fund's values, decision pillars and leadership principles.Act as the key contact point for technology project delivery between the Investment Operations and ICOR departments and Technology Services.Work closely with Technology and Investment Operations and ICOR colleagues in the global offices to ensure that technology solutions are globally fit for purpose and operationalised accordingly.Lead the team to operate and make decisions according to the Fund's Policies, Standards and Procedures and the Fund's Key Decision Registers and the delegated authorities.Ensure relevant legislative and organisational requirements are met; keep up to date on all key changes to relevant regulations.Ensure risk is managed in accordance with the Fund's Risk Management Framework including risk identification and management, risk profiling, risk reporting and incident management. What You'll Need: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.Postgraduate qualifications in Finance, Commerce or Economics or similar, e.g. CFA Foundation (desired).10+ years' experience leading and managing technology delivery teams in the Financial Services or Superannuation industry with a preference for someone with Investments Management experience.Depth of proven experience in delivering initiatives utilising agile techniques.Strategic thinking with proven experience in leading transformation programs.A leader who is resilient, engaging, and passionate about motivating employees to drive exceptional business and individual performance, and an ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams.Collaborative, articulate and persuasive leader who can serve as an effective member of the senior leadership leaders of the Fund.Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Innovative, creative and curious with a strong growth mindset.Willingness to believe in and work towards the enterprise purpose and vision.Poise and ability to act calmly and competently in high-pressure, high-stress situations.Experienced in managing global teams.
