About the Role
The Senior Manager, Business Intelligence is a pivotal member of the Governance, Strategy and Intelligence Department, focused on building an internal intelligence capability. This leadership role involves guiding the Business Intelligence team to create and implement data-driven strategies that support informed business decision-making.
Collaboration is key, as the Senior Manager will engage with senior internal and external stakeholders to identify their intelligence needs and deliver actionable insights that enhance business performance. By working closely with various departments, this role ensures data integrity, optimizes reporting processes, and strengthens the overall intelligence capability of TZV, making it an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker looking to drive impactful change.
Day to day responsibilities include:
Oversee and mentor the team in developing and delivering intelligence services and reports, providing actionable insights for strategic decision-making aligned with user needs.
Develop and implement the Business Intelligence Strategy and enterprise intelligence framework in line with TZV's organizational objectives and strategic plan.
Establish data governance structures to support effective oversight and assurance of TZV's data and information in compliance with legislative requirements.
Lead the creation and maintenance of information sharing frameworks and protocols across TZV's business units.
Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including key intelligence and emergency management agencies.
Stay updated on business intelligence technologies and industry developments to identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and enhancements in data analysis and reporting.
About You
As the Senior Manager, Business Intelligence, you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Tertiary qualification in Business, Computer Science, IT, statistics, or a related discipline, with substantial management experience in statistical reporting and business intelligence.
Proven senior management experience, working closely with executives and senior stakeholders in statistical analysis and reporting.
Advanced expertise in business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Looker, coupled with strong SQL skills for querying complex datasets and developing data models.
Deep understanding of data governance principles, including data quality and metadata management, with the ability to troubleshoot data-related issues.
Demonstrated ability to convert complex data sets into actionable business insights and communicate findings clearly to diverse stakeholders.
Proven track record of collaborating with business leaders to align BI initiatives with strategic goals and enhance processes through data-driven insights.
