Job Description Full time, 9-day fortnight. Part time (0.8 fraction) will be considered for the right candidate. Salary including superannuation $113,000-$126,000 Not for profit Salary Packaging benefits available for all employees, maximising take home pay! About the Position: Responsible for leading and developing Contact Lens services across the ACO, this role will drive improvement and innovation, strengthening our services and relationships with external partners.
The Manager, Contact Lens Services provides leadership in not only contact lenses, but also the optometry profession, the development of ACO services, and is expected to contribute and drive the cultural and overall success of the ACO.
Accountabilities Manage the quality, development and performance of Contact Lens Services. Identify best practice and drive improvements in models of care and patient management. Work in collaboration with the General Manager, City Clinics to innovate and enhance services to lead the profession and build on clinical care and stakeholder relationships. Support the development of staff skills across the service. Participate in the delivery of clinical teaching. Participate in the delivery of OCANZ examination. About you As an experienced optometrist with specialised skills and a keen interest in contact lenses, you will innovate, support and drive exceptional patient care from routine eye exams through to more challenging and complex cases. You will have a passion for creating and nurturing high performing teams through the implementation of continuous improvement and learning.
Desired Skills and Experience Skills and Knowledge Equivalent full time clinical practice for at least five years and can demonstrate clinical and professional experiences and credentials. Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative team environment and able to build strong professional relationships at all levels. Ability to lead a team, delegate effectively and motivate others to achieve. Superior problem solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement. Well developed understanding and respect of diverse communities. Self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who demonstrates initiative, displaying a cooperative and supportive approach towards all stakeholders. A degree in Optometry, therapeutically endorsed and registered as a practicing optometrist with Aphra. Demonstrated experience in contact lens services. Demonstrated experience in leadership. Motivated to serve the community and, in particular, for people experiencing disadvantage.
