The Credit Strategy and Advisory team is part of the larger Credit Strategy and Analytics team responsible for Business Banking Credit Policies and Credit Strategies for all Business Bank (BB) products within Risk Management.

Your role as the Senior Manager Environmental and Social Risk is instrumental in shaping and driving the Environmental and Social (E&S) considerations into the financial risk assessment process. In this role, you will be accountable for providing E&S expertise in line with best practice and industry leading frameworks, taxonomies and methodologies for establishing credit settings that will help Business Bank appropriately manage risk.
You will partner closely with the Line 1 business partners and Group E&S teams to drive the implementation of E&S strategy with respect to the Business Bank lending portfolio. Your passion for E&S Risk coupled with strong business banking acumen and credit risk knowledge will drive impactful changes in an evolving area of the bank.
On any given day you will: Project Manage key initiatives aligned to E&S strategy and targets.Develop effective business partnering relationships with key stakeholders, including an ability to influence sound decision making which adequately considers risk and customer outcomes.Review and help enhance tools and processes used to identify, assess, and monitor E&S risks by leveraging the latest industry insights and widely used frameworks.Partner with a wider group of stakeholders to support strategic E&S data build, and further embed E&S in credit risk framework.Responsible for the ongoing interpretation, application and implementation of CBA's Environmental and Social (E&S) Risk Management Framework and Group E&S Policy as it applies to the Business Bank.You are the BB Risk Management contact and key stakeholder for any Group E&S Policy working groups or policy reviews.Represent BB Risk Management to provide input and guidance into Group wide ESG ambition, strategies, risk policies, frameworks, taxonomies, methodologies.Deliver research insights to inform the development and/or enhancement of existing risk strategies to support climate resilience of the business and its customers.Your experience looks like: Bachelor degree in business, commerce, economics, science, environmental science, engineering or similar fields.Strong Banking/Financial Services experience within Business Banking and/or Credit Risk.Environmental and Social Risk Management desirable with an understanding of current frameworks and guidance on E&S obligations, risks and opportunities.Strong analytical, presentation and communication skills and ability to interact at the executive management level, including ability to explain complex concepts in simple language.Strong paper writing skills with an ability to articulate clearly and concisely for senior stakeholders to understand and make informed decisions.A proven ability to build effective relationships with a record of accomplishment in collaborating, influencing and driving outcomes with key stakeholders.Demonstrated experience in delivering change, including strong project management skills with ability to execute to deadlines.Advertising End Date: 11/11/2024
