SA Water delivers essential water and sewerage services to more than 1.8 million South Australians.Role OverviewSA Water is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager of Economic Regulation and Pricing to lead its vital relationship with the Essential Services Commission of South Australia (ESCOSA) and the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF). A key requirement of the Senior Manager, Economic Regulation and Pricing is to oversee and drive the development and submission of SA Water's regulatory proposals for ESCOSA to inform their determinations. This includes managing the submission process for each four-year regulatory period and ensuring a strategic pricing approach that aligns with ESCOSA's revenue caps.In this pivotal leadership role, the Senior Manager will oversee engagement with ESCOSA while ensuring compliance with economic regulations and securing a sustainable revenue stream. The focus will be on establishing fair and efficient pricing strategies that benefit SA Water's diverse customer base, support economic growth, and protect customer interests.Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Manager will align strategies and policies with the objectives of both SA Water and ESCOSA, cultivating strong relationships with key government stakeholders to meet their expectations. Additionally, they will develop and lead a cohesive team that collaborates effectively and safely, fostering a culture of compliance to uphold regulatory and operational standards.Note this is a full time role, with a 3-Year Max TermKey AccountabilitiesOrganisational Compliance: Ensure adherence to all legal and organisational obligations, maintaining the integrity of the Corporate Compliance Framework, including relevant legislation and ethical standards.Team Leadership and Development: Build and lead a collaborative team focused on achieving business goals. This includes setting clear performance objectives, providing timely feedback, building a culture of excellence, and ensuring safety and well-being in the workplace.Stakeholder Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with ESCOSA, DTF, customers, and community stakeholders. Effectively communicate regulatory requirements and pricing strategies while ensuring customer needs and service expectations are met.Strategic Pricing and Policy Development: Lead the development of pricing strategies and regulatory submissions to ESCOSA, ensuring alignment with SA Water's Strategic Plan and stakeholder feedback.
