Their Finance and Business Services unit is at the heart of maintaining the organisation's financial integrity, compliance, and long-term viability, supporting the energy transition and infrastructure development critical to the region's future.The RoleReporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead the Corporate Finance function in the delivery of statutory reporting, financial audits, treasury, and strategic finance activities. You will also ensure compliance with the requirements of the Australian Energy Regulator. Your leadership and critical financial insights will support long-term business decisions and strategic direction, enabling you to impact the future success of the organisation.Key Responsibilities:Lead the external audit program and manage statutory financial reporting to key stakeholders, including the NT Department of Treasury and Finance, the Australian Taxation Office, and the Australian Energy Regulator.Provide expert advice on the corporation's financial health, including long-term financing, borrowing decisions, and regulatory alignment.Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial systems, ledgers, and reports, while driving continuous improvement across the finance function.Build capability within the Finance and Business Services team, focusing on talent management and succession planning.Work closely with senior leadership to set performance targets, assist in budgeting, and provide strategic financial guidance.Foster a high-performing team culture that aligns with Power & Water's values, focusing on employee engagement, development, and well-being.The role is based in Darwin and cannot be performed remotely from an interstate location.About YouYou are a strategic leader with a proven track record in accounting and financial management, ideally within a regulated or asset intensive environment. Your experience includes leading teams through change, managing complex financial systems, and navigating regulatory requirements. With superior leadership skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving, you are adept at influencing senior stakeholders, creating solutions and driving sustainable change.
