Conduct Compliance & Ethics (CCE) sits within the Compliance team. Its purpose is to manage risks arising from Unfair Customer Treatment, Conflicts of Interest, Market Conduct, Anti-Competition, Organisational Conduct and Data Protection, and to help ING manage risks arising from our norms, attitudes and behaviours related to risk awareness, risk-taking and risk management. As Senior Compliance Manager – Conduct Compliance and Ethics you'll be instrumental in further enhancing and embedding of the compliance risk management culture within ING.
You'll own end to end compliance processes, relating to the conduct risk categories across ING. You'll contribute to the shape of global ING policies and responsible for drafting and implementing local guidelines and standards where additional local requirements exist.
Using your keen advisory and breach analysis skills, you'll keep track/oversight of the local implementation of all local regulatory requirements, management reporting and ING policy-driven requirements by means of issue tracking, monitoring, Risk Dashboards, and other risk specific reporting (regulatory and internal reporting) to internal stakeholders, including ING's Head Office Compliance function.
Reporting to the Team Leader – CCC, you'll partner with the business to be proactive in managing the development, maintenance, review and continuous improvement of ING's compliance risk management framework, policies and procedures.
What you'll do Update, maintain and implement regulatory policies and compliance frameworksAdvise on issues relating to ING's AFSL, ACL and ADI licencesProvide SME advice and support to business partners on regulatory and industry code obligations (e.g. ASIC Act, Corps Act, NCCP Act, BCOP)Map regulatory obligations to risk categoriesManage compliance training for staff (e.g. front-line staff and BCOs) and conducting fit and proper person assessmentsChampion a risk and compliance culture within the business What we're looking for Excellent understanding and significant working knowledge of legal, regulatory and industry code obligations relating to retail banking, credit and financial products and services;Minimum 10 years' experience in the financial services/ consulting industry with at least 5 years of dedicated legal or compliance advisory experienceSignificant proven capacity to interpret and translate those obligations into plain English workable policies and guidelines;Proven ability to communicate with business stakeholders in a professional manner, build strong rapport and assist the business embed compliance culture and practices as part of day to day business operations;Ability to understand and research compliance and legal issues with significant experience working with regulators, regulatory breach assessment, and compliance remediation;Adaptive ability, with a well-developed analytical and pragmatic approach to problem solving and decision making, and ability to work in a high pace environment;Exceptional retail banking product knowledge What's in it for you ?
