The Senior Manager, Business Partnering, AMP Bank is responsible for providing quality and timely reporting on the Bank's financial performance including analysis and insights on Net Interest Margin, product margins, cost-of-funds (COF), cost base, and will be responsible for financial modelling and the development of the Bank's Strat Plan / Forecast.
How will you make an impact Provide insights and timely financial reporting for the Bank - Daily Net Interest Margin (NIM), product margins, monthly financial analysis on revenues, costs and Return On Capital (ROC) to drive business performance.Develop the Bank's annual strategic plan and quarterly forecasts, including integrated Balance Sheet.Monitor KPIs and explain variances in AMP Bank's financial position.Conduct financial modelling: daily NIM, NIM forecasting, margin modelling, and support ad-hoc analysis.Collaborate with cost centre managers for realistic budgets and accurate forecasts; analyse monthly cost variances.Provide Finance sign-off on Product & Pricing Committee (PPC) recommendations, validate COF assumptions, and deliver weekly COF reports.Evaluate financial implications of strategic transactions, offer commercial and financial advice, on business decisions, including margin monitoring, identifying performance enhancement opportunities and drive business process improvements. What you will bring to the role Ideally at least 5 years relevant experience in Banking including a senior finance leadership position preferably within a Bank.Relevant accounting, commerce or finance degree qualifications - CA / CPA or equivalent.Experience in management reporting in a Bank with experience in analysis and commentary for senior management.Experience in financial modelling and business projections.Experience in preparing annual budgets and negotiating with business to achieve set target.Knowledge of Treasury including IRS and funding.Outstanding people leadership skills with the ability to build and lead a high-performance team.System skills - Advanced modelling and excel skills, with working knowledge of PeopleSoft.
The successful candidate will have experience managing multiple senior stakeholders, demonstrating the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively.
