Senior Manager, Business Controls & Monitoring Senior Manager, Business Controls & Monitoring Westpac Banking Corporation Sydney, Australia Senior Manager, Business Controls & Monitoring Job DescriptionPermanent role.Sydney based (Barangaroo) - hybrid working.Excellent opportunity to join Westpac's Business Controls and Monitoring (BCM) team.How will I help?As the Senior Manager, BCM, you will support the CTB Product & Pricing Village within the C&TB Line of Business (LoB) on all matters risk & control and supporting implementation of solutions to risk and control problems. You will play a key role in supporting a strong risk culture that embodies our ethics and integrity, balancing commercial and customer needs. You will work as a part of a team of risk professionals, contribute to ensuring the C&TB risk management practices align to the frameworks, policies, risk strategy, regulatory obligations, and appetite of the LoB, Division and Group, and be a trusted risk adviser. This will include staying abreast of changes to policy requirements/guidance and supporting the Village with understanding/embedding rolling out these changes. You will provide risk expertise in navigating incident and issue rectification, remediation, and regulatory updates including leading incident verification and root cause analysis activities within required SLAs, enhancing issues and incident management practices and ensuring any impacts to the Value Chain risk profile as a result of incidents and issues are appropriately considered and updated.Other responsibilities will include:Providing controls expertise to assist with identification, uplift or building of controls within the Village, and testing the design and operating effectiveness of those controls.Provide effective risk expertise in change initiatives through active participation in and contribution to appropriate working groups and meeting, providing input into complex risk and compliance related matters that arise and reviewing key artefacts per required timeframes and stages.Facilitating JUNO updates for any new/ enhanced key controls (before go-live) and ensuring any control gaps/ weaknesses are recorded as JUNO issues.Proactively coaching and supporting the Village to build greater risk awareness, culture and maturity - including developing and/or presenting materials.What's in it for me?You'll play a significant part of the future of a business that has been around for over 200 years. You will have demonstratable experience of translating the complex into the simple, and communicating with passion, and have the ability to build meaningful relationships and work as part of a team. You will be proactive, organised and outcomes focussed, with the ability to achieve objectives in a changing environment.
