Senior Management AccountantA senior Management Accountant is required for a large government agency, starting ASAP.Your new companyA large and complex business located close to the CBD is looking for a Senior Management Accountant starting ASAP, for initially 6 months.Your new roleOur client is looking for a Senior Management Accountant, to support the capital programme. This role will support planning, budgeting and reporting for major and minor capital programmes.Produce and analyse the monthly forecast for the Capital Program, ensuring accuracy and supporting senior executive decision-making. The forecast supports key decision-making by the senior executive team, including adjustments to the Program, re-prioritisation of projects, acceleration of projects and carry forwards of budget.Quantify and coordinate budget carry forward submissions to external agencies.Manage the prioritisation process for minor capital projects.Provide financial input to the Asset Management Plans.Produce and manage the long-term capital investment plan.Offer financial advice on existing capital projects and new proposals to key stakeholders.What you'll need to succeedYou will need to be a CA/ CPA qualified Accountant with a strong background in Management Accounting, ideally with experience of major and minor capital works. You must be very experienced in budgeting, forecasting and have excellent analytical skills in excel. Ideally, you will have worked for at a large and complex business before and, as this is a contract you will need be able to start immediately.What you'll get in returnYou will get a temporary contract starting ASAP with a large and well-known NSW state government client. This role will focus on a capital works programme.
