Simplot Kelso is our seafood and snacking processing plant, producing 75 SKUs for the retail and foodservice markets. The site employs about 100 people with approximately 95% of manufactured goods consisting of either Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) or Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) seafood. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this senior role will manage operational planning & scheduling activities within the engineering department, with a focus on planning of maintenance activities in line with the site production plan whilst being guided by safety, quality, environment, cost and operational equipment effectiveness (OEE) targets. Site equipment includes   Radio frequency tunnels Dusting, coating and frying equipment Spiral freezing and frozen stores 2 automated, robotic packing and palletising lines What You Will Do Supervise and direct the Planning and Engineering stores team(s) to effectively plan and schedule all project / maintenance work activities in accordance with best practice systems, techniques and Simplot's maintenance work management businesses processes Plan and schedule continuous improvement activities and minor capital works as directed by the Engineering Manager Use of CMMS tools, project tools, Gantt charts, critical path analysis and visual scheduling boards Prepare work packages for opportunity maintenance activities Assist the Engineering Manager with the planning and coordination of un-planned maintenance activities including breakdowns and opportunity maintenance as required Coordinate the planning and scheduling of factory down days and shutdowns, and assist in the safe and effective coordination and execution as required by the Engineering Manager Conduct post down day and shutdown reviews to facilitate the continuous improvement of these activities Develop, maintain and optimise the site's CMMS such that all information and records are relevant, accurate, current, complete, recorded in a timely manner and supportive of the site's reliability strategy KPI reporting Assist with the preparation of contract documents, service agreements and calling of tenders as required Ensure that asset maintenance activities are planned and scheduled to meet statutory, corporate, legal, safety and environmental standards, codes and policies Liaison with regulatory bodies where appropriate Assist with the development, review and monitoring of the Works' operating and capital budgets as required Contribute to the ongoing deployment and refinement of the site's asset management and reliability strategy About You We are seeking candidates with strong mechanical aptitude, drive and motivation to succeed in this role.   Demonstrated experience in a planning or scheduling role (desirable) A 100% commitment to health and safety in the workplace Intermediate to advanced user of CMMS software (noting that Simplot utilise MEX) in addition to the MS Office suite of products A high level of business acumen, including analytical skills The ability to influence and communicate with key stakeholders at all levels Knowledge and experience of Lean Manufacturing principles Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment (incl. a urine based drug & alcohol screen) Please click on the "Apply" button to submit your application, ensuring a covering letter outlining your suitability for the role AND an up-to-date resume are included (noting that you will be redirected to the Simplot Careers portal).   APPLICATIONS CLOSE MIDNIGHT SUNDAY 2nd JUNE 2024 - Simplot reserve the right to commence shortlisting prior to advert closing date #LI-LP1 #LI-Onsite Job Requisition ID:  18702  Travel Required : Less than 10%  Location(s):  SAPL Plant - Kelso  Country : Australia  Simplot is an equal opportunity employer and encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to apply.
