Susquehanna is looking for a Senior Linux Systems Engineer to join our growing Infrastructure team in Sydney.
This role is varied and will leverage your in-depth knowledge of Linux and associated hardware and software to maintain and optimise our systems.
This role provides the opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies, including provisioning, configuration management, virtualisation, storage, networking, and more.
After hours and on-call work is rare but may be required.
What you'll do
Support and optimise our APAC Linux estate; continuously improve our tools and pipelines to ensure that our systems scale as the company grows.
Gain in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of hardware and software configuration applicable to the trading space; OS optimisation, NICs & kernel tuning, core isolation.
Work with/implement/support tooling/systems such as Puppet, Ansible, Openstack, VMWare, Kafka, Kubernetes, and a suite of monitoring/logging/reporting tools (CheckMK, Nagios, Prometheus, ELK, and more).
Support and administer our storage and backup network infrastructure (Various SAN, NAS, DAS technologies such as NetAPP, Pure, GPFS & Vast).
Engage in major projects such as rolling out new trading platforms, deploying new solutions as required by the business, and automating/enhancing existing systems.

What we're looking for:
A Linux engineer who prioritises team collaboration and enjoys deploying effective systems.
Solid experience administering and working with Linux systems and associated tooling; knowledge of Data Centres/Hardware/trading systems is an advantage.
Demonstrable skills with programming/scripting in Bash, Python, or other languages.
Automation-focused with a proven track record of designing/delivering end-to-end systems and solutions.
