Are you a seasoned legal professional with a keen analytical mind and a passion for managing complex legal cases?
Coles is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel specialising in litigation to join our dynamic legal team.

About the Role As a Senior Legal Counsel at Coles, you will play a critical role in providing expert legal advice and support across a broad spectrum of litigation matters.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Managing and overseeing complex litigation cases from inception to resolution.
Conducting thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
Advising senior management on potential legal risks and implications of litigation matters.
Developing and implementing effective litigation strategies to protect Coles' interests.
Collaborating with external counsel and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless case management.
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations affecting the company.
Ideally you will have: A Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal degree from an accredited institution.
At least 7 years of experience in litigation, with a proven track record of managing complex legal cases.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct detailed legal research and analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal arguments clearly and persuasively.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
A proactive and strategic approach to problem-solving and case management.
Admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
