About the role
A Senior Legal Counsel is sought to join this lean legal team. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will enjoy a diverse and business-facing role involving advising on a range of commercial and regulatory matters including funds management, financial services, licensing, litigation, and company secretarial and corporate governance matters.
The key responsibilities of this hands-on Senior Legal Counsel role include:
Advising the business on a variety of commercial and regulatory mattersDealing with regulators, government bodies, and external counselPreparing and reviewing legal documentation and contractual agreementsManaging litigation and regulatory actionAssisting with compliance, company secretarial, and corporate governance mattersAbout you
A lawyer with 5+ years' experience in financial services or banking finance law is sought for this critical Senior Legal Counsel role. Strong technical knowledge of the managed funds industry and its regulatory framework is required. Well-developed communication skills, a commercial approach, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. Sound judgment and the ability to engage with people at all levels of the business are also required.
