Senior Legal Counsel

About the client Our client is an ASX-listed organisation which operates a diverse portfolio of businesses. It has grown by acquisition to become a market leading service provider to thousands of Australians.

About the role Reporting to the Group Legal Manager, you will handle a broad mix of corporate commercial matters for this successful business. In this diverse role, your key responsibilities will include:

Reviewing and negotiating a variety of complex commercial contracts and product related queries. Responding and assisting with various queries across the business, covering a broad range of legal areas such as competition, privacy, IP, disputes, employment, and contract interpretation. Providing regulatory, legal risk and compliance advice. Our client is seeking an experienced lawyer available for a minimum 6-month contract engagement to cover a period of increased workflow for the business.

About you You will be a corporate and commercial lawyer with 6-12+ years' PQE. You will have the ability to work independently with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a high level of commercial awareness will support your success in this role.
