We are seeking an experienced
Senior Legal Counsel
to join our ANZ Legal team. Reporting to the Legal Director, ANZ, you will provide independent, timely, and solution-focused legal advice across contracts, regulatory compliance, litigation, and risk management. This role is pivotal in ensuring Egis' operations align with all relevant legislation while fostering a culture of compliance and ethical conduct.This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact within a dynamic organisation dedicated to shaping the cities of tomorrow.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and manage legal risks in contracts, operations, and claims.Provide strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders and collaborate on high-value agreements.Oversee legal disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.Ensure compliance with legislation and regulations, and inform stakeholders of updates.Manage intellectual property rights and insurance policy renewals for the ANZ region.Foster strong partnerships with external counsel, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders.Deliver training and education on legal issues, compliance requirements, and best practices.Actively engage with AMPAC and Group legal teams, representing the ANZ region.QualificationsAdmission as a solicitor in Australia or New Zealand (or equivalent internationally).Extensive experience in contract law, compliance, litigation, intellectual property, and risk management.Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.A strategic problem-solver with experience managing complex stakeholder relationships.A positive, professional, and solution-oriented mindset.Additional InformationA supportive and inclusive workplace where your contributions are valued.Opportunities for professional growth and development.Flexibility to support work-life balance.APPLY NOW
