Senior Legal Counsel - Corporate Lawyer - FMCG/ Consumer Law Opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel to join this prestigious brand named, ASX listed organisation in a business critical role. Reporting into the General Counsel and Company Secretary, this role will provide practical, comprehensive, and commercially focused legal services and solutions to the business.
This is a newly created role in an organisation experiencing substantial core growth due to acquisitions.
Responsibilities:

Assisting with M&A transactions Advising on consumer law issues and disputes Reviewing and drafting commercial contracts with suppliers including leases, dealer agreements and supply/services agreements Advising on privacy matters Advising on governance issues and implementing governance projects across all areas of ESG Advising on corporate law, Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rules matters Advising on employment matters Supporting the risk and compliance function and implementing control measures Improving the delivery of legal services to the business and providing support to junior lawyers
Experience and skills required:
8+ years post qualification experience with in-house legal experience as well as a strong law firm background as a Corporate/ Commercial Lawyer Advanced knowledge of commercial, contracts, consumer, privacy, procurement and property law ASX listed experience desirable Ability to understand and troubleshoot complex commercial legal and regulatory problems, consult with relevant stakeholders, and propose practical solutions Senior stakeholder management skills including internal as well as with external Vendors/ Partners Strong collaborative, organisational and project management abilities #J-18808-Ljbffr
