Opportunity for a technically sound Senior Corporate / Commercial Lawyer with financial services/regulatory experience to come on board to support the smooth operations of their APAC division. In this business-critical role, you'll be the right-hand to the Head of Legal, taking on high-impact responsibilities and navigating legal risks. Enjoy a broad, dynamic commercial workload in a fast-paced environment, with new challenges every day. There is also the opportunity for you to supervise a team of down to earth lawyers on the team.
Your role will include but not be limited to:
Commercial contract review and complex negotiations
Attending to regulatory matters (Corps Act, ASIC)
Privacy, licensing, IP, marketing, technology
Overseeing and instructing external counsel
Delivering strategic commercial legal advice across the APAC region
Skills & experience
This role would suit a senior lawyer who will bring circa 7-15PQE (this is a guide only) from either an in-house legal team and/or well regarded firm. Your sharp technical skill set, combined with strong commercial acumen and an ability to effectively engage with stakeholders, will see you as successful in this role.
