Senior Legal Counsel (6 Month Contract)

The Green Recruitment Company are delighted to be supporting an exciting renewable energy developer, as they look to add a Senior Legal Counsel on a 6-month contract to their team.With a good local track record, exciting pipeline and strong financial backing, this person will play a key role in helping them progress their pipeline in Australia and will be involved in some very meaningful projects from the start.What you'll be doing:Drafting, amending and advising on a variety of legal documentsNegotiating the terms and conditions of various contracts which may include EPC/O&M, land, grid connection, PPA, sales/purchase, finance or any other relevant documentationProviding legal support to Development, Finance and Engineering teams as well as broader business operation mattersBeing involved in risk management and corporate responsibility mattersEngaging and managing external legal counsel, combined with leading and mentoring a small in-house teamWhat you'll have done:Qualified as a lawyer with roughly 6+ years' experienceExperienced negotiating complex contracts, notably O&M/EPC, grid connection agreements and shareholder agreementsBeen involved in M&A or corporate transactions with a strong grasp of investment structuresWorked in renewable energy or infrastructure (highly desirable)This role is initially based on a 6 month contract and if you'd like to be considered please apply or get in touch for a confidential discussion - ******
