About the roleThis position is responsible for the ongoing development, coordination, implementation, and assessment of the Communication and Clinical Practice (CCP) domain across the four-year curriculum. They work closely with the other Domain Heads and the Discipline Leaders.
This is a fixed term contract to cover the period to end January 2027 while the incumbent is on secondment.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide academic leadership in the CCP Domain in the medical course, being responsible for the ongoing development, coordination, and implementation of the CCP Domain in Fremantle MD.Work closely with the Domain Head of CCS in Sydney in the development of the Clinical Skills curriculum across the National School.Provide administrative leadership of the CCP Domain team.Work with the assessment team, medical education unit, Domain Heads and the Discipline Leaders to develop appropriate assessments for the CCP learning outcomes and clinical exam assessment items.Coordinate and manage the clinical exams (OSCEs) with the CCP team.Develop Interprofessional Education learning opportunities with other Schools within the Faculty.Other duties as directed by the line manager, National Head of School or delegate.Qualifications, skills & experienceA Level C Academic Employee is expected to make significant contributions to the teaching effort of a department, school, faculty or other organisational unit or an interdisciplinary area. An Academic at this level is also expected to play a major role in scholarship, research and/or professional activities. A Level C Academic Employee will normally have advanced qualifications and/or recognised significant experience in the relevant discipline area. A position at this level will normally require a doctoral qualification or equivalent accreditation and standing.
