SENIOR LEARNING & CAPABILITY CONSULTANT $130,042 per annum + superannuationFull Time, 12 month fixed term positionAbout the role Due to internal promotion, we are currently seeking a learning and capability professional with leadership experience for this 12-month fixed term opportunity.
The Senior Learning & Development Consultant will lead a team of Learning & Capability Consultants to design, develop and implement contemporary, innovative learning strategies and solutions that build organisational capability and support WorkSafe's strategic goals.
Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, across various leadership levels, this role will ensure that all learning initiatives and programs are operationally relevant and drive the development of professional and technical capabilities across all functional areas of WorkSafe, including Workers' Compensation, Health & Safety, and corporate operational areas.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Consulting, collaborating and negotiating with Senior Leaders and technical experts across the business to build and implement contemporary learning and development solutions in line with business strategy.Leading the curation and creation of high-quality learning and capability solutions for both internal and external audiences, including but not limited to WorkSafe teams and our contracted partners such as our Agent panel.Leading the design and creation of digital learning assets including but not limited to the creation and editing of animations, video, audio, VR content and e-learning assets of varying interactivity levels, incorporating Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) where required.Designing and conducting training needs analysis, skills audits, monitoring completion and evaluation of the effectiveness of learning solutions, assets and initiatives.Collaborating with members of the People & Culture business unit to develop holistic solutions in response to business, government and stakeholder requests, to provide a coordinated approach towards the development of performance and capabilities.About you You will have demonstrated leadership experience, with a strong reputation of being a professional leader, consistently displaying integrity, courage, respect for self and others, and striving for excellence.
Your written and verbal communication skills are highly developed and you are self-motivated with the capability to meet strict timelines/deadlines.
Your interpersonal skills are well practised and you have the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders confidently.
You believe in quality learning that 'sticks' and are always striving to improve the learning outcome with each initiative.
Ideally, you would have experience within regulatory, health and safety, workers compensation, insurance or social work industries (however this is not mandatory).
More specifically you will have:
Experience (8+ years) and demonstrated ability in the field of adult education, combined with strong skills in a range of learning and capability disciplines, including instructional design and its application within digital learning solutions, face to face facilitation, competency and capability development.Experience in designing, developing and implementing innovative learning strategies/solutions for a varied range of audiences.Strategic business knowledge and understanding as well as the ability to interact at an executive/strategic level.Experience working independently as a specialist, as well as demonstrated experience in leading a small team consisting of either direct reports or peers.Proven experience in managing and successfully delivering multiple high profile projects.Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, facilitation and persuasion skills.Qualifications A tertiary qualification and/or relevant experience in a similar field such as Human Resources, Education, Business or Psychology.Working with Us At WorkSafe, we aspire for every employee to feel connected, safe and valued in their team, for teams to feel valued in the workplace, and for WorkSafe to be valued in the community.
