Senior / Lead Water Monitoring Technician

Wave International on behalf of Yamatji Water, a proud specialist in the provision of water stewardship services, is on the search for a Senior/Lead Water Monitoring Technician to join their growing team.We offer a dynamic and inclusive work environment where your expertise will be valued and rewarded. We provide opportunities for professional growth, on-the-job paid training, and development.This position will be based in Geraldton and will involve site-related work in the region to conduct the required water monitoring tasks.Key Responsibilities & Duties include:Monitor the safe and efficient operation of industrial and/or commercial water and wastewater treatment systems.Ensure reliable and accurate data collection.Supervise Trainee & Junior Water Monitoring Technicians and provide guidance and mentorship where required.Conduct water sampling and perform thorough analysis of collections.Track and log gauge readings and report collected data.Monitor the functionality of equipment, maintain laboratory equipment, and report any faults.Calibrate equipment used for data collection and sampling.Adjust chemical levels by providing appropriate chemical dosage recommendations.Provide input into reporting for water sample results and outcomes.Key Skills / Requirements:Experience in aquaculture, chemistry, lab-related, or processing work environments.Qualifications in a Scientific, Laboratory, or Water-related discipline.Driver's License.Proficient in MS Office.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Ability to pass a Medical Assessment and Drug and Alcohol Screening.If you are looking to make a meaningful impact on groundwater and enjoy the outdoors, we encourage you to apply and join our team of dedicated professionals.We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds and experiences.
