Senior Lawyer/Senior Associate (0-2 years) - Real Estate - BrisbaneWe are seeking a remarkable Senior Lawyer/Senior Associate to join our high performing Real Estate Brisbane team. This role provides the successful candidate with the opportunity to:
Join a tier-one ranked real estate practiceCollaborate and contribute to a successful and impactful Real Estate teamWork with a variety of clients, and help our clients bring to life some of the most significant and game changing projects in QueenslandThe Role Working closely with Partners Michael Richardson and Paula Noble, you will get a chance to change the skyline of Brisbane and beyond working on a range of matters from typical property developments and major infrastructure projects to providing critical support to our Corporate, Energy and Resource, Banking and Finance and Public Sector teams on some of the most significant, challenging and game changing transactions in the State.
With the Brisbane 2032 Olympics on our horizon and so many Government Infrastructure Projects in action, it's the perfect time to join our thriving Brisbane Real Estate team. We are fortunate to have a great mix of clients, including a select portfolio of major commercial clients whilst also being a trusted advisor to many State and Local Government clients.
With such a broad mix of clients, across differing industries and a balance of private and public sector work you will have the opportunity to work on diverse matters including:
Large property projects and property transactions;Capital transactions work for our big institutional clients;The impactful social and affordable housing projects which will change the life of so many Queenslanders impacted by the housing crisis;A variety of renewable energy projects - we are working on some innovative renewables project including hydrogen, wind, solar, hydro and carbon capture, all game changing as the world transitions to renewables;Transport projects in all forms with focus on improving the rail and road networks and infrastructure across Queensland;Infrastructure projects in readiness to host the 2032 Olympics;Some leasing work, generally major head office / commercial / industrial leasing for our clients (landlords and tenants).Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will have: Substantial broad-ranging property experience and exposure to different types of property matters;At least 4+ years' PQE as a Lawyer or 1+ years' experience as a Senior Associate in private practice or in-house;Experience in working for Government clients is preferred, but not essential (if you bring the enthusiasm, we'll show you how);Strong academic background with excellent client-facing capability;The ability to partner with our clients on their matters end-to-end and manage client expectations and deliverables with minimal supervision and the full support of our team when required;Great leadership skills and experience mentoring and coaching junior lawyers. Our team prides itself on giving our juniors the best possible experience as they start their legal journey;The ability to challenge the status quo and be able to demonstrate a strong legal grasp of key principles relevant to Real Estate, coupled with a good commercial grounding;Effective written and verbal communication skills and an ability to communicate with impact to both internal and external clients and staff;Strong time and project management skills;The ability to work as part of a cohesive team and help foster the great team culture we have.In addition to this, we're looking for a resilient, self-starter. Someone who is able to work autonomously and is focused on attention to detail and providing an outstanding service to their clients.
