This role is temporary full time until 30 June 2025 with the possibility of extension.
What you will do Representing clients in NDIS Appeals matters including preparing matters, instructing counsel and personally appearingProvide legal advice, minor assistance and information to clients around the state by phone, videoconference and face-to-face in NDIS Appeals mattersProvide advice in relation to merit assessments for grants of aid in accordance with government funding guidelinesProvide expert and authoritative submissions to support Legal Aid Queensland's contributions to policy, procedure, law reform and legal service delivery initiativesAbout you: The successful candidate will have Expert knowledge of Australian Administrative appeals and merits review law especially as it relates to NDIS appealsThe ability to provide advice on complex questions of law and have demonstrated competence in preparing submissions for policy development and law reformThe ability to build and sustain relationships with team members and internal and external stakeholdersThe ability to present and write in a clear, concise and articulate mannerWhat we can offer you 36.25 hrs per week (full time hours)12.75% employer super contributionsGenerous salary packaging availableStudy leave for approved work-related coursesInterested?
